What to consider when shopping for A Ring Candle

Consider the average life expectancy of the candle.

A candle's lifespan can vary a lot based on its ingredients. For example, a paraffin candle with synthetic oils can last for years, while a candle made with vegetable wax and essential oils is best used within a few months. A good rule of thumb is to light a candle within 12 to 16 months of buying it.

Some might find that, after keeping a beautiful luxury Surprise Candles on their shelf for a few years, the wick is difficult to light or fizzles out quickly. Others might have a candle stored in a box in their attic for decades that still burns wonderfully.

Do candles expire? The longer you keep your candle, the more the scent will degrade and dissipate. This happens with all candles. It's best to burn your candle within a year of purchase. If you plan to store your candle, wrap it in cellophane and store it in a cool, dry place.

Be mindful of the scent that the candle will emit.

Another thing to remember before lighting your candle is to check for dirt or debris, as this can add more fuel to the candle than it is meant to handle. This can lead to unexpected flare-ups or small fires near the candle flame. So, make sure to remove or scrape them away.

Do not burn your candle next to or on something that can easily catch fire. Do not place your candle on a cardboard box, do not burn your candle with paper leaning on the side, so do not burn your candle next to the wall or near drapes/curtains. It is best to burn your candle on a flat surface that has at least several inches between your candle and any other item.

Do not leave your candle within reach of pets or children. With scented candles, pets can become curious and want to eat them; if they get close, they may knock over the candle, which is not only a disaster for your upholstery but can potentially catch anything it falls into on fire. Along the same lines, children are curious, and please keep it out of their reach for their safety and your own.
