This is not a cupcake but a candle! These cupcake candles are so much fun because they taste delicious! These cupcake candles are addictive!
They are also stylish enough to be given as gifts or displayed independently. Let's make them!

Materials to Make DIY Cupcake Candles
Soy wax
Cotton Wicks
Silicone Cupcake Liners
A Microwave Safe Bowl (or a wax pitcher)
Cupcake Colors: Candle Colorants (I used strawberry pink, honey brown, and lemon yellow).
Candle fragrances (more later).
Sprinkles
Piping Bag
Star Frosting Tip
Spoons
Toothpicks
A Knife
You'll need a stovetop/hotplate or a microwave to heat the wax. To melt candle wax, use a stovetop. However, I find it easier to use the microwave to make DIY Cupcake Candles.

How do I get started?
To get started, prep your candle colorant. Use a regular knife to cut the paint into small pieces if you use solid colors (not liquid). You can make the works perfect. They should be as small as possible.
While you don't have to prepare any other supplies, doing so is a good idea. You will need to have all the supplies you need for this tutorial.
You should keep an extra bowl handy if you make cupcake frosting. Also, keep your box of supplies handy if you have the Craft in Style kit.

Step 1: Make the Cake of the Cupcake
You can make the cupcake cake by melting wax. Silicone cupcake liners typically weigh around 4 ounces. This is about a half cup. We are melting a solid-wax mixture.
It will lose a lot of volume when it is melted and made into candles. Add about 1 cup of the dry wax and 1/3 of the block of colorant in a microwave-safe bowl.

How to Melt Candle Wax in the Microwave
When making candles, heat the wax as little as possible. You will have better-looking candles if your polish is more relaxed when you pour it. They will also set quicker and be safer.
Heat the soy wax in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds. To even heat, remove the wax from the microwave and stir it well.

Keep going until all of the wax has become liquid. Then, wait to heat the wax again. You must also ensure that the candle colorant is fully melted if you use it. You want to keep wax cool!

Before pouring your wax, the last thing you want to do is add your fragrance. To retain the aroma, you should add your fragrances right before pouring. You can release the scents if you add them too soon or overheat the wax.
These candles can be made with vanilla cake and fruity scents. My choice was berry bliss and birthday cake. However, I would also love to add a citrus fragrance. You may need 5 to 20 drops depending on which brand you choose, how strong your scent is, and your palate preferences. To be safe, I recommend starting with five drops. You can always add more frosting if you need more.

How to Add the Wick
Your candle wick should be at the center of the candle. You can wind the top of the candle's wick down with a pencil or popsicle stick. Unfortunately, you can't do this with cupcake candles.
Instead, please wait until the wick is stable without moving it.

When the wax starts to solidify, the wick will stay in place. It can take time to determine the right time. To make it easy, place the wick in the cupcake liner. The metal piece should touch the middle. If the wick is not ready, it will fall over. Take the wick out again and ensure it sticks for at least another minute.

Let the wax cool
Once the wick is in place, you can wait for the wax's solidification. This will depend on the temperature of your wax.
It usually takes around 30 minutes. It's best to make several portions of cupcake cakes at once and then wait for them to set. Then, finally, you can decorate them all.

You can make your cake different by adding "flavors."
You can make pieces of "cake" at once, then frost them together. I recommend different flavors. You could make them different colors of wax.
The perfect color is toasty brown. You could also leave some white, like vanilla cake. You can also make some yellow, such as a butter or lemon cake. You could also make pink, like a strawberry or butter cake.

These cupcake candles look just like real cupcakes.

You don't have to color the white cake. Instead, you can add 1/3 of 1 colorant to the colored cake. Because the cake is only sometimes perfectly uniform in color, you could add more.
Each piece will require the same steps. For 30 seconds, melt the colorant and wax. Stir it thoroughly and completely. Add a little fragrance to the wax and mix it thoroughly. You can make different colors of your cake with varying scents if you want to have fun. For example, you could make your pink cake more fragrant and make your white cake birthday cake scented.

Next, pour the wax into the silicone cups. Wait for the wax to cool enough that you can add the wick. Continue to wait until the wax cools completely.
After the wax has cooled completely, you can add the frosting. This is the fun part!

Prep Your Piping Bag
Use scissors to cut the seal end of your piping bag. Cut the bag smaller than the tip to ensure that your frosting tip fits inside.
Push the tip to the end.

Make the Frosting
We'll melt more wax to make the frosting. But this time, there will be a twist!
Begin by melting about the same amount of wax, around 1 cup. Because frosting is so light, I would use slightly less. Because frosting is always so creamy, I would only use 1/3 of a block. A sprinkle is all you need.

Once again, melt the wax and colorant until they are fully melted. Take the wax out of the bowl. Grab a spoon and stir it.
It's OK if you don't have a disposable plastic spoon. Candle wax is safe for food.

This means you can use a kitchen spoon safely. You can then wash the bowl and in the sink and other dishes after you're done using it. This makes candle-making much simpler!

Continue stirring the wax and scraping the sides until you're ready to add your fragrances. You don't need to add any more fragrance to a cake that is already heavily scented. However, if you feel it requires more fragrance, add it.
You can make your frosting and cake different, so they smell different when you light them.

Continue stirring the wax until it is smooth and scoopable. You want the wax to remain in its original form.

To speed up the process, you can add a few drops of dry wax to the liquid if it is taking too long.
Once the wax has cooled, you can use the spoon to scoop the wax into the piping bags. Then, press the wax down to the star-shaped tip to seal the open end.

Have fun with your piping now!
If the wax doesn't hold its shape or if the frosting falls apart into mush, it is too liquid. You can leave the resin in the bag for a few minutes, then pipe it.

To pipe more candle wax, you can use a toothpick or a toothpick to clear the wax from your piping bag.

Pipe the wax in one continuous stream. You can also make tiny star shapes on your cupcake candle.
No matter what you choose, make sure your frosting layer is very thick. This will make it look more natural.

Tips for Frosting Your Cupcakes
Frosting cupcakes can be fun but requires some learning. Here are some things to remember.
1. After decorating your cupcakes, remove the wax from the piping bag. It can be put in a bowl or thrown away.
2. Removing wax from the piping bag after it has cooled is challenging.
3. After you have removed all candle wax from your piping bag, open up the bag. You can seal the piping bag with the wax, but if you need to open it up again, do so while it is still damp.

4. To remove solid wax from your tip when reusing it, you'll likely need to use toothpicks. This can get messy. It's easy and fast once you understand what you have to do.
5. For each color change, use a new bag. For example, use a different bag to make yellow or pink frosting.
6. Lastly, ensure you keep all colorant chunks in the wax. It would help if you melted the colorant along with the resin. You will only be able to squeeze out the frosting if there are chunks.

Add the Sprinkles
Add a few sprinkles of cute shapes to the wax while it is still damp. You can use chunky sprinkles or fine sprinkles.
Sprinkles are best used in natural sprays. Any color is delicate.

Cupcake Candles Finished
After you have added your sprinkles, let the wax solidify entirely, and they will be done!!

It's now about perfecting your technique. You can try different frostings for your cupcakes. You can make new kinds of cupcakes by using different colors or combinations of colors.
Try different colors and placements of sprinkles.

How to use your DIY Cupcake Candles
First, let the candles cool down for at least 25 hours after you have finished. Then, trim the wick and light the candle.
Before removing the candle from your silicone cupcake mold, wait for a full day.

To make additional candles, you can use the silicone cupcake mold. However, it would help if you did not burn the candles made in a silicone mold.
Instead, place the candle on ceramic or other heat-safe surfaces.

Also, trim the wick to 1/4" before you light them. This will reduce the flame size and slow the burning time of the candles.
Keep the wick at a minimum of 1/4 inch.

You should also ensure that candles are always plugged in and inspected regularly. They should not be left unattended where the wind could blow them over or around children. This is for safety.

You can find little stickers with candle safety instructions. Putting on the bottom of your candle is a good idea.
These can be used as gifts or displayed, so that family members have easy access. There is at least a warning label.

Safety enough! These are the cutest candles I've ever seen. Yes, it is a long process, but not difficult. You know more baker video Pinterest sites.

It's great fun!
